I wrote about my frustration with the city zoning office the other day. My story does have a happy ending, though. I had sent a link to my blog post to Amanda Burden, chairwoman of city planning. To my surprise, my complaint to Ms. Burden did not end up in cyberspace….as yesterday I received a telephone call from the planner that actually wrote the text on the fresh market bonus. She was intelligent, articulate and apologetic…and proceeded to answer my questions. Later that day I received another phone call from the actual gentleman with whom I originally had my telephone exchange. He called to apologize and said there was “no excuse” for the way he had spoken to me.
Apologies accepted all around. All’s well that end’s well. The zoning guys are my pals again.
