John Cicero, MAI, CRE, FRICSJohn Cicero is Managing Principal of Miller Cicero, LLC, with more than twenty five years of commercial appraisal experience in New York City. Prior to founding Miller Cicero, he served as Vice President in the New York City office of a national appraisal firm, providing appraisal services to institutional clients around the country. He was also formerly Vice President of Chemical Bank, where he was responsible for reviewing appraisals prepared for the Bank and acting as an in-house consultant on a wide variety of valuation-related matters.Mr. Cicero has extensive experience with virtually all property types in the New York City region and is especially well versed in the nuances of the Manhattan real estate markets. His real estate appraisal experience includes office buildings, loft buildings, apartment buildings, mixed-use properties, retail strips, commercial condominiums, development sites, warehouses, and blocks of unsold, occupied cooperative apartments. Here is a list of assignments. John is a Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI), Counselors of Real Estate (CRE) and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS). He received a post-graduate diploma in Real Estate Investment & Analysis from New York University's Real Estate Institute, and his BA degree from Binghamton University. He holds general state certification in New York and New Jersey. John is an adjunct assistant professor at New York University's Master of Science in Real Estate program (SCPS) and he is the author of The Appraisal of Occupied Cooperative Apartments in New York City (The Appraisal Journal, July 2002).
